The 85 Watts MagSafe Electric Adapter has a magnetic DC connector which ensures that the cable will disconnect if it is subjected to excessive pressure which helps prevent the fraying or wear of your cable over time. In addition, the magnetic DC connector guides the socket for a quick and secure connection.

When the connection is secure, an LED light located at the tip of the DC connector will light up; an amber light indicates that your portable device is charging, while a green light indicates that your battery is fully charged.
