The TS318S features a robust, long-excursion woofer housed in a solidly-braced ported enclosure, computer-optimized for potent low-frequency performance. The enclosure, constructed from dense wood composite, possesses virtually perfect acoustic characteristics, ensuring clear and impactful subwoofer output. Unlike conventional enclosures with flex-prone thin metal or plastic walls that dissipate speaker energy as cabinet vibration, the sturdy, braced wood composite enclosure eliminates such energy loss.

The Perfect Match

Clear output alone isn’t sufficient; a subwoofer must seamlessly blend with its companion speaker for an ideal speaker system. This is where the Alto Professional’s TS318S excels. Offering six selectable DSP output modes, the TS300-series subwoofers perfectly match their frequency response and crossover frequency to the companion speaker. Four options perfectly align with Alto TS2 and TS3 full-range speakers, while the remaining two options ensure a perfect match even with non-Alto full-range speakers.

Precision-Engineered for Performance

Employing computer design techniques like Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Alto optimizes the speaker’s magnetic structure and maintains a tight voice coil gap for maximum sensitivity. The voice coils, wound tightly, ensure maximum utilization of the input signal. Adhesives with unrivaled consistency and durability under high-temperature conditions assure unsurpassed system reliability. Equipped with an onboard 2000-watt amplifier (1000 watts continuous) and proprietary limiting circuitry, the TS318S guarantees clean and clear sound even under maximum load.
